BRAINERD—October 16, 2006—
Lakewood Health System announces the selection of Diversified Networks
(Privately Held) to provide communications systems for their new
hospital and clinic located at the intersection of State Highway 10 and
County Road 83 in Staples, Minnesota.
The new Lakewood Health System communications systems provide real-time
voice, data, wireless, fiber connectivity and presence sensing
applications based on a combined solution using Nortel and Microsoft
products. The newly designed communications systems have been chosen for
their ability to not only improve, but also to change the overall
productivity and services of Lakewood Health System.
Diversified Networks designed and is installing the new systems. The first
phase of the installation is to be completed in time for the occupancy of
the new hospital which is scheduled in December of this year.
Established in 1987, Diversified Networks, a communications systems house,
specializes in real-time communications systems for enterprises, including
voice, data and video. Diversified Networks is a Brainerd based company with
offices in Brainerd and Chanhassen Minnesota.
Established in 1936, Lakewood Health System is an integrated health
organization, which provides a continuum of healthcare services to the area.
Lakewood Health System is comprised of five primary care clinics, a
hospital, care center, senior housing, care van, foundation, home health and
